Sedona Restaurant Recommendations

SMBA Eats and Treats

With the high saturation of restaurants in Sedona, it can be overwhelming to know the best spot to grab a bite.  Our coaches have sampled and scoured to cultivate a premier list of post-ride treats.  In no particular order, here are our local favorites:

Berry Devine.jpg

Berry Divine: Acai Bowls & More

Berry Divine is the place to cool off after overheating on-trail.  Hot weather always spikes cravings for ice cream, and Berry Divine is the healthy alternative.  With a wide array of variations, your açaí dreams will be exceeded.  The staff is always so helpful in modifying your order to your dietary preferences.  Add a scoop of protein powder to rebuild post-ride.  This is the spot to go if you’re looking for a way to refresh, refuel, and get your daily dose of antioxidants.  Berry Divine has perfected the açaí bowl!

  • SMBA recommends:  Vortex Bowl, Summit Bowl, add coconut oil to your order

Dellipiane: Best Artisan Burgers In Town

Dellepiane is Sedona’s best burger place.  Their name may be confusing to pronounce, but they sure know how to make a phenomenal burger.  Chef and owner Tomas draws upon his Argentinian street food background to offer both the classics, as well as specialty burgers that could come straight from a high-end restaurant.  The quality of ingredients reflects in the price tag (100% organic beef), but you won’t mind after your first bite.  Wash down the deliciousness with a local beer and enjoy the outdoor patio, as you scope out trails for tomorrow’s ride.

  • SMBA recommendation: Le Blue Cheese Burger, Pork Green Chili Empanada

Local Juicery 2.jpg

Local Juicery : Healthy Treats and Juices

Local Juicery is Sedona’s best smoothie stop.  They use 100% organic ingredients and never add ice to their smoothies (finally, only the good stuff).  The clean, fresh vibe of the interior of the cafe translates to their menu as well.  Offering salads, breakfast bowl, and coffee, this plant-based stop priorities quality over all else.  Their outdoor patio is shaded for ultimate relaxation while you devour your meal.

  • SMBA recommendation: Blue Majik Bowl, “The Works” Waffles, Mint Chip Smoothie,

Indian Gardens.jpg

Indian Gardens : Breakfast and Lunch In Oak Creek Canyon

Indian Gardens (IG) is 10 minutes up Oak Creek Canyon toward Flagstaff.   The building originally opened as a general store in 1947 and has evolved to become our coach’s favorite spot to grab brunch.  Tucked away off of the main Sedona strip, a meal in IG’s backyard garden always feels peaceful and 10 degrees cooler.  Indian Gardens roasts their own coffee and offers a wide menu of breakfast favorites as well as healthy alternatives.  They offer cocktails, local beer, and a small selection of local products to bring back home.  After your meal, cross the street and catch a glimpse of Oak Creek.

  • SMBA recommendation: Pancakes and Breakfast Sandwich

Sedona Beer CO.jpg

Sedona Beer Company : Sedona’s Best Brewery

Sedona Beer Company (SBC) is SMBA’s favorite hang out spot.  We meet at SBC after our group rides and consider it a “must-do” for any visitor.  Their rotating beer list always has something new and exciting to sample (horchata beer - don’t knock it until you try it!)  We are grateful for SBC’s selection of gluten-free alcohol and non-alcoholic options, as they go beyond White Claw.  Alongside a pint, they have a full food menu that will leave even the most picky eaters satisfied.  The ambiance of SBC is picturesque (especially during sunset), so this isn’t somewhere you’d want to opt for take-out.  With board games and cornhole in the patio, this is a great place to unwind after some long millage days.  Many of the bartenders are mountain bikers, so be sure to ask their favorite trails!

  • SMBA recommendation: Double IPA Beer, horchata beer, waffle fries topped with truffle oil and jalapeño aioli on the side.

Senor Bobs.jpeg

Senior Bobs: Classic Burgers & Hotdogs

Señor Bobs is a Sedona staple.  If you’re looking for a delicious and economic lunch, this is the place to go.  First known for their hot dogs, Señor Bobs has expanded to offer variations of this initial classic.  Señor Bobs does not spare any expense with their unlimited topping and condiment bar.  Tasty sauces, homemade chili, varieties of pickles are available for you to apply to your preference.  Señor Bobs closes when they sell out, so don’t snooze on this stop!

  • SMBA recommendation: Top your fries with homemade chili & cheese, Veggie burger, Chicken sandwich combo

Tortas del Fuego.jpg

Tortas del Fuego : Authentic & Affordable Mexican

Something about the Southwest triggers a craving for Mexican food.  Tortas del Fuego is hands-down our #1 casual post-ride recommendation.  Our friends at Over the Edge Bike Shop frequent this spot so often, there is a joke about setting up an air-compressed burrito tube across the street for easy delivery.  There are two locations of Tortas, one in West Sedona (no booze) and the other in the Village of Oak Creek (yes booze).  You’ll see all the classics, with some intriguing variations for those who are feeling risky.

  • SMBA recommends: Alambre Burrito, Tres Amigos Enchiladas with red & green sauce

crema-sandwich.jpg

Honorable Mentions (nearby in Cottonwood, but still super tasty):

Crema (breakfast and lunch, try the Monte Cristo Sandwich)

Colt Cafe (bbq that makes Texas proud, try the Brisket Sandwich “rich” style, Smoked Mac&Cheese, Sloppy Mustache Burger)
